About Gisele Marino
Gisele (Gigi)
I am a 14-year-old student-athlete competing in the 1.00m jumper division at rated shows, including WEC, HITS (New York, Virginia, and Vermont), Devon Horse Show and through IEA equitation competition. I train at Black Horse Stables with my horse, Kasper (NFusion), and focus on accuracy, adjustability, and riding with a quiet, effective position.

Academically, I am interested in science-based coursework and plan to pursue Biomedical Sciences with a Pre-Anesthesiologist Assistant concentration at Auburn University. I enjoy subjects that require focus, problem-solving, and attention to detail, and I work to apply these skills both in the classroom and in my riding.

My leadership experience comes from long-term involvement in 4-H and IEA, where I regularly help coaches and team captains, support riders during competitions, and assist with practices. Through these experiences, I have learned how to communicate clearly, stay organized, and work with riders of different ages and skill levels. I also help train a younger rider, which has strengthened my patience and teaching skills.

In the short term, my goal is to continue developing as a rider and prepare for collegiate competition. Long-term, I hope to pursue a career in healthcare while remaining involved in horsemanship, leadership, and service.
